Psychological Resident (Post-doctoral Internship)

Hours: Psychological Residents are required to work 40 hours week. Primary responsibilities will be to provide outpatient therapy and to complete psychological evaluations. Psychological Residents are also expected to conduct intakes for clients requesting psychiatric service. By the end of the first quarter, Psychological Residents are expected to be completing 32 clinical hours a week. This recognizes that it can take several months to build a caseload.

Supervision: Psychological Residents will receive a minimum of two hours of face-to-face supervision a week with a licensed psychologist. Additional opportunities for supervision will also be available through group and individual supervision provided by another licensed mental professional and/or psychiatrist. Psychological Residents may also have the opportunity to gain supervisory experience under the oversight of a licensed psychologist.

Training/Research: Psychological Residents may be asked to prepare and present professional presentations. Presentations may be for TEAMCare staff, and/or for community-based agencies and schools.  Psychological Residents may also assist in research programs for the purpose of Program Development or to assess Program Outcomes.
