Mary Kate Conroy, CRNP

MaryKate is a Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner (CRNP) who has been working at TEAMCare since August 2024.  She began her career in healthcare as a nursing assistant while completing her undergraduate degree at Gwynedd Mercy University. She obtained her RN license in 2011 and Bachelor of Science Degree in 2012, and joined the US Navy in 2014 as an officer in the Nurse Corps. MaryKate worked as a nurse in Pennsylvania, Maine, Arizona, and Illinois for 9 years in a variety of settings including nursing homes, elementary schools, kids camps, providing home care to low-income families in Philadelphia, and working on several types of hospital units, with the last 3 years being in the ICU with critically ill mental health and substance use patients. MaryKate also worked in nursing education for 4 years, teaching the senior level course at the Lancaster CTC LPN program and the RN students in the BSN program at PA College of Health Sciences; if there was more time in her schedule she would still be doing this, as education and nursing mentorship is something she is particularly passionate about. In 2020 MaryKate earned her Master of Science degree in Family Practice Nurse Practitioner Studies at Maryville University, with graduation slightly delayed by a 6-month deployment with the Navy. She began the first 3 years of her Nurse Practitioner career working full-time at an inpatient substance use and mental health facility where she was both a provider and the Director of Nursing for 48 staff members. She is currently working towards obtaining a second board certification and license in Psychiatric Mental Health to add to her Family Practice credentials. She primarily sees adult clients.
